new visitor and heritage center being developed to celebrate and learn
about the Hanford Reach of the Columbia River and larger Columbia Basin
through education and interpretation. As a gateway to the Hanford Reach
National Monument, The Reach is a multidisciplinary interpretive center,
featuring geologic, natural, and cultural history of the Columbia Basin.
It is a place to learn about the unique history of this area from the
Ice-Age through the Atomic Age.
